The North Bay Battalion hope to end a two game losing streak tonight (Thursday).

They host the Ottawa 67’s at Memorial Gardens in their second last game before the Christmas break.

The Troops will be without Cam Dineen, who was injured last week and Zach Poirier, who is serving the first of a two game suspension for slew footing an opponent in the Windsor game.

Coach Stan Butler says Dineen helps the team in a number of areas, including the powerplay and even strength.

He also says this is a great opportunity for defenseman Eric Allair to grow a little bit, as he gets more playing time.

The Troops are also expected to be without Jacob Ball and their top two goaltenders, who are out with injuries, while Max Kislinger is away at Germany’s World Junior camp.

Catch tonight’s game on Country 600 CKAT, broadcast time is 6:55 pm.
