???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????It’s a big week in North Bay, with Armed Forces Day coming up on Wednesday.

Honorary Colonel George Burton says the Snowbirds demonstration team will be performing over the waterfront and they expect 7,000 to 10,000 people to gather at the waterfront for the event.

Over 150 military personnel will be involved in a parade from City Hall to the waterfront ahead of the festivities.

Honorary Colonel Tom Hedican says they’d like the public to wear red to honour both the Canadian and American military personnel.

He says they’re in our community, they volunteer, they coach teams and it’s a great opportunity for people to say thank-you.

Armed Forces Day will also include ground displays of army vehicles and equipment while a CF-18 and Chinook helicopter may also be involved.

Also of note, the Pan Am Torch relay is also passing through the area on Wednesday and will be included in the Armed Forces Day events at the waterfront, with military personnel involved.
