The Powassan Voodoos wrap up the pre-Christmas portion of their schedule with a couple games in the next few days.

Saturday night in Powassan, the Voodoos, who are tops in the east put their 21 game win streak on the line against the number one team in the west, the Soo Thunderbirds.

Powassan is also home to Iroquois Falls on Monday.

Earlier this week the Voodoos moved up two spots in the CJHL Top 20 rankings to 3rd in Canada.

It’s back to league play for the North Bay Midget AAA Trappers this weekend.

After winning silver at the Gold Cup Tournament last weekend in Guelph, the Trappers are on the road to the Sault for three games in three days against the Greyhounds, starting tomorrow night (Fri).

North Bay and the Sault are atop the Great North Midget League Standings with 37 points each,

However, the Greyhounds have played two more games.

The West Ferris Ringette Association is holding their “Come Try Ringette For Free” event on Sunday afternoon.

The session goes at 4pm and is all about introducing more players to the sport, in its hometown.

This event is for kids between the ages of 4 and 14.

Those interested can just show up at West Ferris Arena with their skates, a helmet and gloves.
