Bus stop concerns the focus of a special meeting of Council next week

A special meeting of council has been called for next Wednesday, involving concerns raised about a new bus stop on Labreche Drive.

Citing safety concerns residents have started a petition against the new bus stop that’s slated to go into effect May 31st.

The route change was a part of recent changes made to the entire Transit system.

Mayor Al McDonald says the meeting goes at 5:15 next Wednesday.

Staff will be available to the public from 4 pm to 5:15 pm next Wednesday to go over the alternatives.
