road workConstruction crews have started working on some of the summer road projects in the city.

Chair of Engineering and Works Tanya Vrebosch says that includes another phase of the Ferguson Street reconstruction project.

Vrebosch says this is to fix the infrastructure, which she says was in bad shape.

As well, the city hopes this will reduce the flooding in the area during major rain storms.

The city will also get started on the John Street Bridge project this week and the stand pipe installation on Cedar Heights Road.

In terms of John Street, Vrebosch says the bridge will be completely replaced and some work on the road will take place as well.

She says this bridge has been in need of repair for a few years now.

Meantime, Vrebosch says the stand pipe installation on Cedar Heights, which will open up that area to future development, includes a pathway being built leading up to College Drive.
