Trojan parade(File Photo)  For the 22nd straight year, the West Ferris Trojans are helping in the fight against cancer.

The annual Trojan Parade for Cancer which starts at the school around 9:15 this morning (Wednesday) and culminates with the presentation of several cheques at the waterfront 90 minutes later.

The organizer of the parade is Nat Brunette.

She says they’ve raised $220,000 over the years and they hope to increase that by $15,000 this year.

She says the money has been raised through various events over the year the school.

Brunette says the cheques will be presented to the Canadian Cancer Society and Camp Oochigeas a camp attended by children fighting cancer.

She says there are many personal stories of people at the school impacted by cancer.

In fact, she says one story will be told at the waterfront ceremony.
