vote2

Permanent residents live, work, pay taxes and go to school in our community.

And they should have the ability to vote in municipal elections says Don Curry.

He is the Executive Director of the Multicultural Centre and he’s brought forward a proposal to allow permanent residents to vote, regardless of their citizenship.

He says this would make North Bay stand out in northern Ontario.

Councillor Mike Anthony brought forward a motion to see if the province would allow this to happen. He says it’s something worth looking into.
