Stats are in from the city police Festive RIDE campaign.

The initiative, which looks to reduced impaired driving, took place from the end of November to early this month.

North Bay Police held 13 RIDE checks during campaign with just over 2,000 vehicles stopped.

One driver charged with impaired.

Police advise motorists the RIDE stops do happen all year long.

Meantime, North Bay Police report two 19 year old Burk’s Falls men are charged with break and enter after two separate investigations.

It’s alleged auto parts were taken from two parked vehicles on the gated property of a Birchs Road Business on Christmas Eve.

The two men were spotted by police on the same businesses property early yesterday morning (Sunday) and taken into custody.
