North Bay Police are investigating reports of break-ins and attempted break-ins to a few downtown businesses.

Police say they happened overnight on the 300 block of Algonquin, the 100 block of Main East and 100 block of Worthington Street East.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

 

Meantime, city police are looking for the public’s help involving a mischief investigation.

Police say a man entered a Main Street bank on Christmas Day just after 3:30 pm and attempted to pry open the bank machine.

They say significant damage was done to the ATM.

The man is described as Caucasian with glasses that have a black frame. He was wearing a red baseball cap, covered by a black hoodie with a white stripe on the back, blue jeans, mid-length beige winter coat and beige winter boots.

He was also carrying a black pack sack.
