Ottawa is helping to showcase northern Ontario’s mining industry, including a number of local companies, at an upcoming international convention in Toronto.

10 companies from North Bay and one more from Mattawa will be taking part in the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase at the 2016 Prospectors and Developers Assocation of Canada’s international convention. The Toronto event in March draws more than 23-thousand delegates from over 100 countries.

Mining-related businesses and organizations from across the north will be promoting the region and it’s mining potential along with their products and services.

The Northern Ontario Mining Showcase will help businesses gain exposure, increase sales and boost exports, which will contribute to the long-term sustainability of communities that depend on this important sector.

The local organizations taking part include Canadian Diamond Drillers Association, Drillco, Drillspec, Miller Technology, Nordic Minesteel Technologies, Northern Survey Supply Mattawa, Ontario Northland and more.
