Google Summit

Expanding technology within the classroom has taken a leap forward today within the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board.

They held a Google Summit today (Wednesday) which taught students and teachers about the benefits of using Google Apps and the Cloud.

Peter Anello is an E-Learning contact with the board, and he says this is where teaching is eventually headed. He says “we need to bring that excitement about what they’re used to into the classroom. Change what they are used to doing and making it more digital, more engaging, and more creative. That to me will be a game changer in education.”

Anello says they held workshops, demonstrations and information sessions on what students and teachers can accomplish through Google Apps.
