NU lakersA host of teams at both Canadore College and Nipissing University are in action this weekend.

In OUA basketball, both Lakers basketball teams are on the road to McMaster tomorrow (Friday) then Brock on Saturday. 

In volleyball, both Nipissing teams host Guelph tomorrow night then McMaster on Saturday.

The men’s hockey team is back on the ice, in Ottawa Saturday for game two of their playoff series with Carleton. The Ravens lead the best of three series one game to none after a 3-0 win over the Lakers Wednesday night.

The women’s hockey team at Nipissing is idle.

They’ve completed their regular season schedule and are awaiting the rest of the teams to wrap up their games this weekend, ahead of the playoffs.

Nipissing sits third in the standings heading into the weekend.

 

Canadore volleyballAt Canadore, the women’s volleyball team is getting ready to host the OCAA championship next weekend.

The Panthers finished second in the East Division and play either Seneca or Fanshawe on February 25th.

Those two college teams play a qualifying game this Saturday.

The Canadore men’s season is over after they finished tied for 7th in the East.

In OCAA men’s basketball, Canadore has two games this weekend to close out the regular season.

They’re at Seneca on Saturday then Georgian on Sunday.  The Panthers are tied for 9th in the East with 12 points.
