Some North Bay companies and others from around the region will be learning more today (Monday) about funding opportunities when it comes to Cleantech companies bringing innovative technologies to market.

The Biomass Innovation Centre at Nipissing has partnered with Sustainable Development Technology Canada to host the satellite funding workshop.

Community Seminar Liason Francis Gallo says there are a couple of funds that are open right now.

He say one is the SD Tech Fund which is for companies looking to address climate change, air quality, clean air and clean soil.

The other one is the SD Natural Gas Fund for improving technologies anywhere along the natural gas supply chain.

Gallo says holding this type of satellite funding workshop is a new approach. He says it involves a local event host doing the outreach work to garner more local representation at the session.
