Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an incident that happened on Highway 17 West, between Verner and Warren, on February 1st.

Police say between 6 pm and 6:30 pm that evening a female driver was flagged down by a man whose vehicle, an older model station wagon or small Sports Utility Vehicle, was stopped on the shoulder.

OPP say the woman was assaulted after she approached the back of the man’s vehicle.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the man and his vehicle.

The OPP is also interested in speaking with a potential witness, the driver of an eastbound light colored pick-up truck.
