There’s a perception that most cyber crime victims are seniors.

North Bay Police deputy chief Scott Tod says that’s changing.

He sits on a national police committee on cyber crime and they’re finding the victims cross a wide section of age groups: children, adults and seniors.

He says young people are especially vulnerable when it comes to sexual exploitation.

Tod says they are trying to make people of all ages more aware of the many ways they can be victimized.

He says they are talking about developing a game that people can play on their laptop, tablet or phone to see how computer savvy they are.

Tod says the committee is working on making victims more aware of what the bad guys are doing and to watch for it.
