Area snowmobile clubs are waiting for the colder weather to come back.
Executive Director with the Near North Trails Association Daphne Miclette says they had a great base for the snow, but lost a lot on the weekend with the warmer temperatures.
“All the clubs are hoping it’ll get colder and then we can continuing grooming,” she says.
Overall, Miclette says it’s been a good season so far.
“It’s going quite well this year, a lot of people are coming up from the U.S. and southern Ontario due to the fact that they haven’t had snow this year, so they’re all coming up here and enjoying our trails,” she added.
Miclette says gas stations, restaurants and hotels all benefit from snowmobiling.
