The Powassan Fair Grounds will be the site of a major motorcycle rally later this year.

Bikers Battling Cancer will be putting on the rally from June 30th to July 2nd.

There will be several free events during the day and live music in the evening with wristbands costing 20 dollars each.

Director of Bikers Battling Cancer Don Smith says the bonus is they’ll be taking part in the Canada Day Parade on the Saturday to mark Canada’s 150th birthday.

He says Sunday will be the Wheels of Hope motorcycle ride.

Funds raised from the event support cancer care programs at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
