The chair of Community Services Councillor Mark King wants something done about people being unable to wait for their bus at their usual stop because of too much snow.

He says that happened last week at a stop and that’s not the only one.

He says you can’t have people standing on the side of a snow bank waiting for a North Bay Transit bus.

He’s asked staff to report on the issue at the next council meeting.

King says his intention is for the city go to a public tender so a private operator can clear the snow out at bus stops so people can wait for their bus at their stop safely.
