NU lakersIn OUA men’s hockey, the Nipissing Lakers finished sixth in the standings and open their playoff series against number three Carleton tomorrow night (Wed).

Game one is set for 7 pm at Memorial Gardens.

Carleton is home for game two Saturday in Ottawa and game three, if necessary on Sunday.

During the regular season the two teams split their two games.

Carleton won 4-1 over Nipissing in early December, while the Lakers won 4-1 over the Ravens earlier this month (Feb 5th).

 

On the women’s side, the Lakers closed out their regular season on the weekend and await the rest of the OUA to complete their scheduled games this week.

Nipissing is third in the standings with 44 points, tied with Toronto who still has two games left to play.

The Lakers are also two points ahead of Western, who has one game remaining in their regular season.
