A few year end reports were released recently at North Bay City Council.

One shows the city ended the year in a balanced budget situation.

They had budgeted to take $1.49 Million from reserves, but the final total will be $445,000 a savings of over a million from what was budgeted.

Both Community Services and Engineering, Environmental Services and Works ended the year in the black at $555,000 and $578,000 respectively.

General Government, though, finished with a $1.8 million deficit.

Also showing surpluses were Corporate Services, the Fire Department and Service Partners.

Meantime, the surplus in the water budget is $168,000 while it’s $840,000 in the waste water.

That money will be transferred to each respective reserve fund.
