The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority has lifted the flood outlook for the Lake Nipissing shoreline in North Bay and Callander.

In a release, the authority says with the lake level nearing seasonal norms, the ice cover gone and no significant precipitation on the way there is no need to have the outlook in place.

The release says all the factors that put the lake at risk including ice damage, flooding and erosion for the last 3 weeks have subsided.

The CAO Brian Tayler says we were very fortunate we didn’t receive any significant wind or rain during the snow melt.
