North Bay native Brett Hargrave had his best game of the year.

He was constantly in front of the net, he was winning faceoffs, and he scored a pair of goals.

All that helped the Battalion snap their three game losing streak in the 4-1 win over Saginaw.

Hargrave says moving from the wing to centre is working for him.

Justin Brazeau and Cam Dineen also scored for the Troops who will play Kingston on Saturday.

It’s the 81st career win for Goaltender Jake Smith who made 28 saves on the night.

Smith says it was great to bounce back after two straight overtime losses.

He set the franchise record for most wins by a goaltender earlier in the year and Smith  says now the focus is on the playoffs.

Stan Butler says they were in complete control.
