Brett Jeffries is coming off a productive year with the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL.

Jeffries scored 42 points in 50 games, was named Captain, and helped the Thunderbirds win the NOJHL championship.

Jefferies plays forward and is regarded as a dynamic skater that can play various roles.

Lakers Head Coach Mike McParland says Jeffries will bring some versatility to his team.

He says “We’re very happy to add Captain Brett Jeffries. I have seen Brett play a few times and after talking with a few different coaches in the NOJHL, it was unanimous among them that Brett was the best 200-foot player in their league.”

Jeffries says he is excited to continue playing hockey at the CIS/OUA level.

He says “I am very excited to become a Laker and join this great organization. I have been working very hard on and off the ice to make it to the next level and I am very grateful that I get to continue my hockey career in North Bay.

The Red Lake, Ontario native had 106 points in 150 NOJHL games over three years.
