February 11, 2000 was a horrible day in the North Bay area.

It was on this day, sixteen years ago, a little boy named Adam Ranger was killed after someone didn’t stop for his school bus, near Mattawa.

Every year, Adam’s family and the Let’s Remember Adam organization reminds drivers to stop when a school bus is flashing its lights.

They also want drivers to pay extra attention to kids walking home, with snow and ice buildup on sidewalks.

The video above, featured on the Let’s Remember Adam website, was created by students who would have been in the same class as Adam.
