Nipissing UniversityA auditor report comissioned by the provincial government has some interesting findings on Nipissing University.
The report by Pricewaterhouse Coopers was done to recommend how the university should deal with the impact of changes to teacher-education programs.

The recommendations say the university should consider cutting courses and faculty, selling off assets and improving its financial controls.

The Globe and Mail quotes university president Dr Mike Degagne as saying there will be several town halls this winter on the report.

The Globe and Mail also says faculty are opposed to the recommendations.

Meantime, as of June 30 of this year  the Muskoka campus will be effectively closed and will not be offering any degree-granting programs.
