North Bay PoliceA 30 year old city man is facing several charges include theft under $5,000, two counts of making a forged document, two counts of use, deal and acts on a forged document and two counts of fraud under $5,000.

The charges were laid following a police investigation.

Police say sometime between mid November and early December two blank cheques were taken from an employers North Bay business.

An employee forged the employers signature twice and then forged cheques were deposited into an employee’s personal account.

This happened on December 2nd and again on the 15th.

Police say the total amount deposited was just under $2,000.
