Colton PointNorth Bay’s Colton Point and his Carleton Place Canadians teammates won the CCHL title yesterday (Sunday) with a 3-2 win over the Ottawa Junior Senators.

It was game 7 of the championship series.

Point was named MVP.

He was 12-4 in the playoffs, recording five shutouts, a goals against average of 1.83 and save percentage of .933.

He and the rest of his Carleton Place teammates have a week off before gearing up for the Fred Page Cup in Woodstock, New Brunswick as they look to earn a berth in the RBC Cup.

Point, meantime, is the number 4 ranked North American goaltender heading into the NHL draft in June.
