Voodoos drop their opener at the Dudley Hewitt

Not the start the Powassan Voodoos wanted at the Dudley Hewitt Cup in Trenton.

They fell 5-1 to the host team in their first game Tuesday night.

Parker Bowman scored Powassan’s lone goal to make it a 4-1 game in the third.

The Voodoos were outshot 35-26 and trailed 2-0 after 1 and 4-0 after 2.

The Voodoos 2nd game is Wednesday afternoon against Dryden at 2:30.

Dryden won its opener 5-4 in overtime over Georgetown.
