South River residents told to conserve water

It is mandatory for residents who are on the South River water distribution system to conserve water.

There was a water main break on Thursday and now another on Friday. 

And this is reducing the amount of treated water that is available for use on the municipal supply.

Residents are advised to limit their water usage.

The South River Water Department points out the water is safe to drink and this is not a health issue.

They say it is a quantity issue.
