Dominique Bouchard officially going to Rio 2016

North Bay officially has an Olympian to cheer for at the summer games this August in Rio.

Former Y Titan Dominique Bouchard is one of 27 swimmers nominated to represent Team Canada at the games in Brazil.

She achieved nomination standing in two events, the 100m backstroke last week and the 200m backstroke last night (Sunday).

Bouchard was second in both events. Her time in the 200m event was 2:08.52 at the Olympic trials in Toronto.

The swimming competitions will take place August 6th to 13th at Rio 2016.
