lhin logoThe North East Local Health Integration Network has selected 23 people to sit on their expert housing panel, including two from North Bay.

LHIN Senior Director Catherine Matheson says the panel will look to develop a strategy to help with housing and support needs of the elderly, homeless and at risk populations.

She says they hope to present some findings throughout the year.

She says by June they expect to have a draft strategy on the critical thinking of the panel, which will then be presented to different LHIN sectors to make sure it’s on the right path.

Matheson adds they should have an outline for a strategy by the fall.

Two North Bay residents are on the panel; Joe Bradbury who is the CAO of the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board and Tanya Nixon, the Vice-President of Mental Health at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
