OCHU highlighting the issue of worker safety at health care institutions

The Ontario Council of Hospital Unions is calling on the province to bring forward legislation that would make it a criminal offense to assault a health care worker and to protect staff who report violent incidents.

They’re holding a media conference in North Bay this morning (Wednesday).

They’re also calling for a nurse to be re-instated to her job.  

The Council saying she was dismissed last week for speaking up about patient issues.
