A new art exhibit is taking place this weekend at  Les Compagnons. 

The inaugural event includes 14 local artists from Sturgeon Falls through Mattawa. 

Co-ordinator Lou Gagne says it’s about showcasing the work of local artists and giving them the exposure they deserve.  

They’re also inviting students from Algonquin, Odyssee and Franco Cite to the event.
Gagne says they can have one on one sessions with the artists to learn more about what to expect. 

Meantime, donations for Autism Awareness or the North Bay Food Bank are being accepted.  The event runs both Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
