battalion280x160Peterborough entertains North Bay for game three of their OHL Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

The best of 7 is tied 1-1.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says, after losing the second game, they will need to have a short memory in the playoffs.

He says “if you win great, but you have to be ready for the next game. If you lose, great that’s the way it is. The way I look at it now is, it’s a best 3-out-of-5 and they have home ice advantage. The way I see it, in the playoffs the pressure is on the home team so we’ll go in there looking for a split.”

The Petes were 18-12-1-3 on home ice in the regular season, while the Troops finished 12-14-5-3 on the road.

Butler says there are some positives and negatives to take out of splitting the home games this past weekend.

He says “I liked our compete level, what I would like to see changed is I would like to see us be a little more hungry around their net and we can’t have breakdowns in our own end. You have to trust guys you’re on the ice with and just do your job.”

Butler says if that happens the team will be fine, and they have to have a short memory in the playoffs.
