capitolcentre_210x155For the 2nd straight year there will be what organizers are calling a gathering at the Capitol Centre on Good Friday.

Peter Armstrong is with St Brice’s Anglican Church

He says 12 churches are involved in putting on the event and there will be two gatherings this year as they were forced to turn people away last year because it was so popular.

Armstrong says there’s no cost to attend.

The times for the events are 9 am and again at 11:30.

He describes the gathering as a multi tiered event with many parts including  music, drama, prayers and plenty of reflection on the meaning of the Good Friday weekend.

Armstrong says the churches take themselves seriously and that will be reflected in tomorrow’s gathering.

He says church leaders have a responsibility to try and make a positive impact on people’s needs material and otherwise.
