pharandThe local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society is going to have a busy April as it’s daffodill month.

Manager Gil Pharand says they have several activities planned including selling daffodill pins throughout the city from Thursday to April 17th.

As well, fresh daffodills will be available at Parker’s Your Independant Grocer during that same period.

They also have a paint your workplace yellow campaign and paint the downtown yellow.

Pharand says they will also be canvassing door to door.

All funds raised go to pay for transportation costs for patients and research.
