The North Bay Battalion have officially introduced their new assistant coaching, Scott Wray.

Fresh of coaching the NOJHL’s Powassan Voodoos in the Dudley Hewitt Cup, Wray says the turnaround has been quick.

“Stan Butler learned about John Dean leaving about a week and a half ago. Stan came to me and we talked and here I am.”

His official role has also been defined.

“I’ll be taking over the forward side of things.  Adam Dennis is taking over the defence and goalie side of things. I’ll be taking over the powerplay. We had a pretty good one in Powassan so hopefully I can bring over things we had there but I know this is a different beast.”

“Former players have already reached out to me. I’m excited to see Daniel Walker and Eric Allaire .It’s going to be a learning process. I want to be a sponge, I was a hard worker in the minor leagues and that’s what I want to bring here.”
