pipeline mtg picOrganizers are calling it The Resistance Cabaret.

Spokesperson for the event set for tomorrow night at the Davedi Club Marc Tessier says their mission for this event is two fold: to raise funds within the community to oppose the Energy East pipeline project and to share information about the risks associated with it should it go ahead.

He says there will 5 non government environmental groups in attendance.

Tessier describes the evening as a night of fun and fact.

Tessier says they are concerned about an oil spill and the possible impact.

Tickets are 10 dollars in advance or at the door.

The show starts at 7:30 with the doors open an hour before.

He says there will be several performances by local musicians, dancers and poetry readings as well.
