Nipissing UniversityProspective students and family members will be checking out Nipissing University Friday and Saturday for one of two open houses the university holds throughout the year.

Carla Tucker is the acting manager of student recruitment at the university.

She says she can’t underestimate the importance of this open house for the university.

Tucker says checking out the campus for students is so important because they need to find out if Nipissing is the right fit.

Tucker says they hold an open house in the fall too but commitments are soon made after this open house for the next school year in the fall and there will be lots to see at the university over the next couple of days.

She says there will be a student session, a parent supporters session, and all programs will be be represented at the open house.

She says there will also be tours of the various facilities, an information fair and community representations as well.
