NEW opp policeA 30 year old Powassan man has been  charged after area OPP noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed  on Highway 11 in South Himsworth Township.

The officer investigated further and charged the male with five driving related offences.

The male is charged with driving while impaired, race a motor vehicle, driving while under suspension and two other charges.

 North Bay OPP report they are investigating a break in to a camper at Blue Lake Campground, located on McConnell Lake Road.

They say between March 5th and 6th an unknown suspect or suspects broke into the camper and stole numerous items including a Savage 410/22 combo firearm, Lagostina pots and pans, Canada Customs ball cap, alcohol, CD’s, DVD’s and bedding.

Any person with information is asked to call OPP or Crime Stoppers.
