2 local students make the grade

A pair of students at St Joseph Scollard-Hall are on cloud 9. 

That’s because Grade 12 student Jillian Kilroy (RIGHT) and Grade 11 student Temitope Akintola (left) have been accepted into the SHAD Summer Experience program. 

The program sees students develop knowledge in the STEM subjects-Science,  Technology, Engineering and Math. 

SHAD empowers exceptional high school students by introducing them to a variety of activities inside the classroom and outside through field trips.

Principal Derek Belanger says the students will connect with peers from across the country and showcase their own skills and knowledge too.
