Building DignityBuilding Dignity: A Campaign for Excellence in Palliative Care.

That is the name of the new fundraising initiative for Nipissing Serenity Hospice.

The group unveiled the new campaign along with a few events they are running to reach their goal of $6,000,000.

They are planning a Hike for Hospice on May 1st and a Girls Night Out on October 22.

Mathilde Bazinet, the Chair of the Nipissing Serenity Hospice Board of Directors, says they have raised half of their goal already after they applied to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation for $1,500,000, FedNor for $500,000, and a commitment of over $1.000.000.

The Nipissing Hospice will be located close to Laurier Woods off John Street and should be able to open in 2017.
