Fatal crash Monday night on Hwy 11 North in Armstrong Township

Temiskaming Shores OPP continue to investigate after a fatal collision on Highway 11 in Armstrong Township last night (Monday).

Police say around 7 pm a southbound car entered the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming van.

A 17 year old female from Timmins, the driver of the car, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the van, a 50 year old man from Armstrong Township, was pronounced deceased at hospital.

The highway was closed for about 10 hours.
