battalion280x1602January is Alzheimer’s Awareness month and the Alzheimer Society of Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay Districts are holding two events in the next couple of weeks to continue that awareness.

The first is Friday and it features a guest speaker, Doctor Guy Proulx from York University.

He will discuss how people can live and integrate a healthy lifestyle while minimizing the disabilities brought on by cognitive disorders.

The second event is on February 8th at Cecil’s and Community Health Promoter Ashleigh Milne says it’s a dinner with the Battalion.

Milne says it will be a fun night to meet the players, take part in a raffle and learn more about protecting your head.

Visit the Alzheimer North Bay website for more information on tickets for either event.
