energy east pipelineNorthwatch says the National Energy Board is not trustworthy.

That from coordinator Brennain Lloyd, who made her comments after a report slammed the work of the NEB.

The report, released Tuesday, came from the federal environment commissioner and it found that the tracking and documentation of pipeline approval conditions was either inaccurate or out of date.

Lloyd was asked what the government should do next about the NEB.

She says there needs to be an intensive review of the NEB’s work.

Lloyd says the work by companies like Trans Canada is not being followed by the board properly and she describes the process as a bit of a free for all.

She says this opposition just isn’t about projects like the Energy East Pipeline, but also about improved oversight for other projects which may come through northern Ontario.
