Tod sets priorities as new Deputy Police Chief

This is the first weekend that Scott Tod has been North Bay Deputy Police Chief.

He was sworn in as deputy on Friday along with the new Chief Shawn Devine.

He was asked about his biggest challenge and he says it is to gain the respect of his employees: both sworn and civilian.

Tod comes over to the municipal side after a two decade career in policing with much of it spent with the OPP.

As for priorities he says domestic violence occurrences are a big concern in North Bay and that needs to be stemmed.

Tod says he also wants to continue working on the Gateway Community Hub and continue to provide a safe environment for everyone in North Bay.
