The North Bay Battalion scored a 4-3 overtime win over the visiting Guelph Storm last night (Thursday).

Defencemen Cam Dineen tied the game for the Troops with less than a minute remaining in regulation.

Dineen’s goal made it 3-3 and Captain Mike Amadio scored the winner in overtime to lift the Troops to their second straight win.

Amadio also had two assists on the evening and Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says Amadio continues to be one of the teams go to guy.

Smith made 28 saves on 31 shots in his 17th win of the year as the Troops are now two points behind the Barrie Colts for the Central Division lead.

North Bay has now won two straight games and Butler says despite Guelph being in last place it was still a big two points for the Troops to pick up.

North Bay also got goals Mathew Santos and Zach Poirier in their 22nd win of the season.

The Troops travel to Hamilton tonight to take on the Bulldogs.  Broadcast time on Country 600 CKAT is 7:05 pm
