battalion280x1602The North Bay Battalion start the week four points back of the division lead as they get set to host the Guelph Storm tonight (Thursday) then travel to Hamilton tomorrow.

The Storm come to Memorial Gardens with just 9 wins this season and in last place in the Western Conference.

But, Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says the overall record doesn’t mean much in a head to head game.

He says “I don’t look at where teams are in the standings, I look at how teams have played in their last couple of weeks and in the last few weeks they are an upper echelon team right now.”

Butler says both teams have better records then them in the last 10 games.

“Hamilton beat Sarnia, Hamilton beat Niagara, Guelph beat London 3-0 last week.”

The Battalion have 47 points in 42 games played this season, and are 5th in the Eastern Conference and fourth in the Central Division.

Catch the game on Country 600 CKAT tonight at 6:35pm.
