Canadore facilityThe cost of providing services to the students has gone up, so students will in turn see an increase in their compulsory fees at Canadore College.

Vice President of Finance, Corporate Services and International Richard Peters says the fees will increase by 3%.

He says this covers the student activity fee, athletic fee, alumni fee and more and is reflected within the tuition, which is going up by 3% across the board for the 2016-17 school year.

Meantime, Peters says they are on track to meet a balanced budget with the revenues at $55-million.

He says last year they had a small surplus which they put into reserves for any equipment and infrastructure upgrades they may need.

Peters says barring any surprises they will be right on track.
