buildingThere was close to $69-million in building permits in the City of North Bay for 2015.

Mayor Al McDonald says that surpassed the projected numbers by $13.8-million.

He says this is good news as this shows confidence for developers to invest in the community and it helps hold down the budget numbers.

McDonald was asked how they can continue to see strong numbers in 2016.

He says they need to always speak confident about the city and promote it so industry and residents can be successful.

McDonald adds there was $29-million worth of permits on the commercial side, which is the second highest ever in a single year for North Bay, while there was $21-million on the residential.
